Cylindrical anchor bush for press fit installation - has internal taper for locating expansion pin in slotted bush

An anchor bush (12) has a cylindrical outside dia, which produces a press fit location when installed. The leading end (38) of the bush has an internal reducing taper which is forced to expand radially when a spreader plug (25) is a pressed into the tapered hole. A radial external lug (24) at the leading end of the anchor bush is pushed into a radial location hole (39) when the bush is expanded during installation. Axial slots (27) near the tapered bush section are provided in order to ease the expansion on assembly. The trailing end of the bush has an internal thread for the location of a fixing screw (37).
