PURPOSE:To prolong the consecutive operating time by devising a receiver such that one reception path among plural paths is left through a switch operation by a user and the reception operation or power supply to the other paths is stopped so as to reduce the power consumption. CONSTITUTION:Reception sections 100-1, 100-2 are provided on the receiver separately, power is supplied separately to them, and a switch 300 is provided on one of the reception sections. The user operates the switch 300 externally. When the switch 300 is connected, a changeover switch 10 is connected to the position of a terminal (b) to implement usual diversity reception. When the switch 300 is released, power supply to the reception section 100-2 is stopped, the operation of an RF section 2-2. A phase detection section 3-2 and a phase shifter 4-2 are stopped and simultaneously the changeover switch 10 is switched to the position of a terminal (a). |
