<p>1469036 Disc mills KESKUSLABORATORIO-CENTRALLABORATORIUM AB OY 29 Jan 1975 [15 Feb 1974] 3963/75 Heading B2A Wood chips saw dust and like material is fed into a double disc refiner at a position facing two inlets 2B, 3B Fig. 2 in one disc 7 Fig. 3A and steam formed during refining is discharged at a position facing a third inlet 1B. The disc 7 rotates and thus the inlets 1, 2, 3B move but the positions of feed and discharge are static. The chips are divided into two streams in a conical dividing box 1. This contains two oppositely rotatable feed screws 2, 3 which discharge on to screws 5, 6 Fig. 4. The steam is removed via a duct 8. A pair of screws 9 in this duct transport chips/ pulp back to the feed inter side of the refiner. The dividing box can be steam pressurised by use of rotary valves, Fig. 5 not shown, the refiner itself being non-pressurised. Refiners chemicals can be added during the pretreatment in the dividing box.</p> |
