<p>The machine frame carries an endless belt along which the objects to be packed are allowed to travel. The objects are transferred to a table on which the objects are held until there is space available at a strapping position. A number of stops ensure that there is no accumulation of objects on the machine straps are fed from a coil stowed under the machine table and these are bound round the objects. The objects are fed from the conveyor by sliding feed bars, the objects passing over switching plates corresponding to strap positions. The sliding switching plates are coupled to the feed bars and are stopped when an object to be strapped reaches the strapping position. The switching plates determine the correct positions of the straps.</p> |
