PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetooptical recording material which assures corrosion resistance higher than that of Tb-Fe system and excellent recording characteristic by forming an alloy with Tb, Ni, Co and Fe. CONSTITUTION:A chip of Tb, Ni, Co and Fe is formed on the surface of sufficiently smooth and transparent glass substrate 2 by the sputtering method as a recording layer 1 consisting of the amorphous alloy film having the composition Tbx(NiyCozFe100-y-z)100-x (where x; 20-35atom%, y; 5-35atom%, z; 5-35 atom%). According to this recording layer 1, write and erasing by laser beam can be realized. |
