PURPOSE: To provide an intelligent battery pack, in which a control module is built, without requiring the volume of the battery pack. CONSTITUTION: This battery pack apparatus comprises a battery cell array 21, connected with a control module 305 which is produced by mounting parts such as micro-controllers in both sides of a printed board through a conductive metal strap 22. In this battery pack apparatus, the pat 309 with a narrowed width of one of the connection straps works together with the control module 305 as an electric current sensing element and measures the cell electric current and stores the results in a memory. The parts of the control module are installed in the spaces of neighboring cells of the cell array 21. Three ways of charging methods can be employed for the charging apparatus to be connected with input terminals by control of the control module.
