The draughting machine is for producing developments of bend segments used in the manufacture of sheet metal elbows and bends. It consists of a square frame the sides of which form guides in two axes (38, 39, 44). On these are mounted slides (36, 37 and 61, 62) connected to two arms (50, 60) crossing and connected at right angles through the slide (55). The relative position of the arms is controlled by the slotted arm (51) which is set at an angle to the arm (39) half that of the angle between succeeding segments of the bend. A rotating arm (31) moves a rod (66) according to the constraints of the various guides and slides and a pen(67) draws the development of the segment (68) onto a moving chart (69) in the form of a sinusoidal curve.
