Downhole drill consists of a main string which can be rotated or rotated alternate ways, with a drive and a percussive drill until which is activated by explosives, the shells removed and explosives supplied by a device operated by a water circuit. The percussive unit consists of the tool, explosion chamber charger and a ring space surrounding the chamber, the space serving to remove the drillings, and with the main string issuing into this. The percussive drill unit should be pivoted to the base of a casing arranged concentric to the explosion chamber so as to ride up and down within this.
