The prefabricated house has vertical bearing uprights. Horizontal girders are used as the framework for vertical panels. The framework sections are assembled by fixing the ends of the uprights and the ends of the girders onto connections. The girdes are of fixed length and each has a metal connecting piece at each end. Standard sized hollow metal connecting cube (6) is fitted against the metal connector at the end of each girder. The connector consists of a plate fixed against the transverse end surface of the framework section. Each plate extends outwards beyond the surface to take bolts screwed in nuts welded against the inside surface of a connecting cube. At least two opposite facing tabs are bent back against a lengthwise surface of the framework section and fixed.
