<p>The connection consists of an end plate (1) bent into an angle piece, one side (1), of which is joined to the section (2). Tabs (3) inserted into recesses in a support, join the angle piece side (1) to it. The side (1) of the angle piece has two tabs (4, 5) cut out of it and which slant outwards. A gap (7) is used to make up for any disparities between the lengths of the sections, such as tubes, being joined. The plate is fixed against the end of the section being joined, with the tab acting as a rest for the edge of the section end. The plate is welded to the tube end. In the case of the two tabs facing in opposite directions the section end fits inbetween them.</p> |
