<p>The fixing member for wall mounted mirrors comprises a support member (1) which is designed to be fastened to the wall and has on its surface (9) facing the mirror a fastening strip (10) which consists of two interlocking tapes (11, 12) or burs. The outer tape (11) has on its exposed outer surface an adhesive layer (15) which can be temporarily covered by a tear off foil strip (16). Thhe adhesive force of the adhesive layer is pref. greater than the cohesive force of the bur connection between the two tapes of the fastening strip. The support members (1) can be made of metal or plastic material. After attaching the fixing member to the wall e.g. by fastening screws the mirror can be lined up in the correct position and then pressed against the exposed adhesive layer so that it is then secure against displacement. For subsequent alignment only the bur connection of the fastening strip is released.</p> |
