<p>The journal bearing (1) of e.g. a rotating drum (2) is supported in a bearing block (3) by means of two ring shaped flanges (4a, 4b). The bearing block in turn is supported on a U-shaped structure. The U structure is connected by means of pairs of hydraulic cylinders (9, 11, 13) to the machine foundation. The hydraulic cylinders take up loads in three mutually perpendicular directions. The pairs of cylinders act in opposite directions to one another, and are interconnected by a hydraulic line. Damping action is exerted by resistance against flow from one cylinder to another.</p> |
