The composite profiled frame for a window or door is made up from two metal halves with interfacing guide channels holding an interconnecting foamed plastic insulating body. The halves are initially joined by walling pieces, with a lengthways narrowing depression, which can be subsequently torn off as in the main patent. The tear-off walling parts (14) are in a single piece with one frame half (11), and connected to the other half (10) by a locking retainer. The channels (12) on this half may be made up from angled stems (17) with outwards facing corner attachment (18) engaged from behind by locking lugs (19) on the tear-off parts open ends. This facilitates production of composite frames with varying overall cross-sections.
|
