The wagon carrying two carriages supporting drills for boring holes in mine galleries for inserting explosive charges, has the carriages supported ahead of the machine and mounted on a frame spanning the wagon. This frame has telescopic legs so that it can be lifted free of the wagon. The design is improved so that it is free of oscillation. The wagon has a beam (16) across it with a hinge pin (24) each end for arms at the sides which can be swung outwards to engage the telescopic legs of the frame. There is a resilient coupling between a lifting drum on the wagon and the frame. The beam (6) has a vertical face (16a) each end against which a piston rod (19) can be extended to move the travelling frame of the wagon sideways. The wagon has a drive shaft for the lifting drum for cables (33) connected tothe frame.
