Drying installation for book blocks includes a conveyor track for the continuous conveying of the blocks with their spines pointing downwards and at a speed adjustable to operating requirements. The installation comprises heating elements positioned below the book block conveyor track made as heating radiators. The heating radiators (4) have an adjustable bearing in relation to the book block conveyor track (2) and include adjusters (7 to 10) to regulate their distance. The distance adjustment is operated automatically in accordance with the speed of the book block conveyor movement and is coupled to mechanical or electronic control elements.
