<p>The process is for making rounded edges on wooden or wood-type panels coated with duroplastic pressed laminates. Pressure on the duroplasts is interrupted before they have set completely hard. The panels (2) are removed from the press, and, in the area to be rounded, wood is removed in the form of a channel (7) with a bottom width corresponding to the circular measure of the rounding, as far as the coating (5). The exposed coating area (9) is then briefly heated and bent into a curve. A separating foil sheet (4) may first be inlaid between coating and panel, pref. in a prepared depression (3).</p> |
