<p>The extending trailer has the ends pivoted about transverse axes to swing out and extend the length of the vehicle. The swinging operation is controlled by hydraulic servo arms linked to flanges alongside the axes with the ends of the flanges unclipped to convert the arms into struts. The servo arms enable the trailer to be extended with a minimum of manual effort. In the unclipped setting they support the ends of the trailer on the ground, with their lengths adjusted to the contours of the ground.</p> |
