<p>The air in a composting system which includes an aerobic composting reactor, is controlled by: (a) sucking out the composting air; (b) cooling the air with washing water after pressing it into an air washer; (c) withdrawing part of the composting air; (d) throttling the rest of the composting air; and (e) mixing this with fresh air, and recirculating it to the reactor. The air withdrawn in (c) is passed through 1 or more serially-connected container contg. composted organic material. NH3-contg. condensate is continuously withdrawn from the air washer, stripped in an ammonia washer with the exit air, and passed through the serially-connected container(s).</p> |
