Security counter with at least a movable armoured wall

The security desk (1) has upper and lower armoured partitions (2',2) which are located within the body of the desk when not in use. When required the partitions are raised by pressure operated jacks (3',3) through a desktop slit normally closed by a rotatable coverplate. All the control equipment (4) for the armoured partition jacks is grouped together on a panel (8) which is normally located within the desk and behind the movable armoured partitions and further protected by a fixed armoured plate. The control equipment (4) may be raised for maintenance on guide rails (12).
