<p>1498912 Endless-track vehicles CATERPILLAR TRACTOR CO 12 Feb 1976 [9 June 1975] 5549/76 Heading B7H An endless-track construction vehicle comprises: a chassis frame 14; a change-speed transmission assembly 13 including a housing; a protective bell housing 15 surrounding the transmission assembly 13; a plurality of first anti-vibration and noise-suppressing means 19 detachably connecting the bell housing to a flange 16 of the transmission assembly housing; a first support member 17 attached to the transmission assembly housing flange 16; a second support member 18 attached to the first support member 17; and a plurality of second anti-vibration and noise-suppressing means 28 detachably connecting the second support member 18 to the chassis frame 14. The construction according to the invention is said to suppress noise generated in the transmission assembly 13. As illustrated, each anti-vibration and noise-suppressing means 19 comprises a washer 26, a bushing 25, and an arcuate portion of an annular gasket 20. The washer 26, bushing 25, and gasket 20 may be made of a fabric material impregnated with an elastomer.</p> |
