1517464 Coal washing jigs SIMONACCO Ltd 7 March 1977 [26 March 1976] 12295/76 Heading B2H A jig for washing coal comprises a plurality of U-shaped housings arranged sideby-side, the first limbs of the housings being conjoined in the upper regions thereof to form a channel 36 and the second limb, base and part of the first limb of each housing being separate from those of adjacent housings and having a curved cross sectional periphery. The base of the channel 36 is formed by a perforated plate 32. Raw coal is introduced at 37, clean coal is removed by a chute 39 and heavy impurities are removed by chutes 41 and 43. Air for pulsating the water in the jig is supplied through ports 35a in the tops of the second limbs 35. |
