STILBENE COMPOUNDS AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING SAME

Compounds of the formula I are prepared by reacting optionally appropriately substituted 4'-benzoxazolyl-2-stilbene-4-carbonyl chlorides with amide oximes. The substituents in formula I have the meaning stated in Claim 1. The compounds of the formula I are virtually colourless fluoresence substances which can be used as optical brighteners.
