1498682 Drinks cabinet for vehicles I DI GIOVANNI 2 May 1975 [6 May 1974] 18500/75 Heading B7J A container 130 for drinks is slidably mounted beneath the dashboard 110 of a vehicle, the container being pivotably mounted on its slide 14 whereby it may be moved between a horizontal stowed position beneath the dashboard (Fig. 1) and an operative vertical position in front of the dashboard (Fig. 3). The container is pivotally mounted on a member 17 having rollers 18 engaging the side edges of slide plate 14 attached to the dashboard. The container is held in its stowed position against the action of springs 21 by a catch 25 pivotally mounted on the slide plate and engaging a projection 27 on member 17. To release the container, it is moved inwardly whereby an abutment 29 pivots a member 31 to disengage the catch 25 from projection 27, and released whereby the container moves outwardly under the action of springs 21 and pivots into its operative position under the action of a spring 20. Alternatively, the container is moved between its extreme positions by electric motors controlled by limit switches. The bottles are retained in position in the container by spring-loaded caps engaging the tops of the bottles.
