<p>A method of making a one-piece plastic shotgun shell, i.e. where the transverse base portion is integral with the tubular body portion. A tubular plastic slug is carried progressively through a series of dies to produce a shotgun shell having a body portion which is highly oriented and a head section of somewhat lesser orientation. An oriented, integral primer gas seal skirt is formed inside the primer opening.</p> |
