PURPOSE:To improve the offset resistance and fixability of the toner by bringing a styrene/acryl copolymer obtd. by a soln. polymn. method and a crosslinking agent into reaction and using it in the form of a gel. CONSTITUTION:The gelatinous copolymer obtd. by bringing the non-gelatinous styrene/acryl copolymer (A) obtd. by the soln. polymn. method and the crosslinking agent into reaction while or after evaporating away an org. solvent from the soln. of the copolymer A is used for the above binder. The copolymer contg. >=1 kinds of styrenes, alkyl ester of (meth)acrylic acid, secondary to ternary amino group- or quaternary ammonium group-contg. ester of (meth) acrylic acid, and secondary to ternary amino group- or quaternary ammonium group-contg. (meth)acryl amide is preferably used for the copolymer A. |
