<p>The autoclave is particularly for fully automatic operation, working on the batch principle in order to sterilise jam and fruit jars etc, and having a system for loading and unloading by layers. Inside the boiler section of the autoclave is a stacking plate (5) of mating cross-section, accommodating the jars etc. (9), and which can be raised and lowered. The plate can be indixed up and down, the length of the indexing movement being adjustable, typically by means of a ram mounted in the base of the autoclave and on the centre line. Several autoclaves can be mounted in a row, with their edges level (3) with a common transport and collecting surface (18a, 18b).</p> |
