<p>Extensible waistband for trousers or skirt with opening, fly, etc. comprises a fabric strip pref. of the same type as that of the garment folded back on itself to form a sheath in which is housed an elastic band (4). According to the novelty the waistband is fixed to the upper edge of the garment (3) by an open seam (7) passing only through the outer wall of the sheath. The lip (8) which is thus formed along this wall and turned back towards its inner surface is joined by a stretch steam (13) to the lower edge of the elastic band. The free edge of the other wall or inner wall (15) of the sheath is joined by a stretch seam (16) to the other lip (9) formed by the open seam along upper edge of the garment.</p> |
