<p>The plant raising system uses frames which can be filled with peat etc., so that seedlings can be raised at different levels, and a tray fitted underneath to catch the overflow of water or other liquid which may be used. Each frame is made up of a set of parts which can be folded flat for transport when not in use. A base plate (2) has tongues (9) which fit in slots (12) at the bottom of two end plates (3). The sloping edges of the end plates have a set of sloping slots (8) into which fit slats (5) interconnecting the end plates. The slats also have end slots. An alternative design has horizontal trays, one supported above the other, of successively smaller size, thus forming a pyramid.</p> |
