<p>The projection system is used in a cinema etc. to provide an enlarged image of a watch time display on the cinema screen. It employs three glass discs (8, 9, 10), each marked with a watch hands and rotated via a synchronous motor (6), to represent the hours, minutes and seconds hands. An image of the watch face and strap are provided on a glass slide (11) positioned adjacent the three glass discs (8, 9, 10) so that the watch hands are superimposed on the image of the watch face. A light source (1) is positioned behind the glass discs (8, 9, 10) and glass slide (11), with a plate of glass (4) between them for absorption of the IR radiation from the light source (1). The system also includes focussing and projection leases (3, 5).</p> |
