<p>The tongued and grooved joint is for securing panels together, the groove being undercut and the tongue of dovetail section. A grooved metal rail (4) is fixed in a recess (3) in one of the panels (2), and a rail of dovetail section (6) to the other panel, the second rail being a close sliding fit in the grooved one. The groove can be formed in the face of a first panel, while dovetail-section tongues are mounted on the edge of the second one. Alternatively, both can be provided along the edges of first and second panels.</p> |
