The bearing assembly has a central axle (8) with a parallel portion (4) that carries the inner cage of the inner bearing (10). The bearing has taper rollers and an outer cage which carries the wheel hub (2). The central portion of the axle (8) is tapered while the parallel portion (6) carries the second taper roller bearing (9). The outer cage carries the wheel hub and the inner cage is kept in position by means of the keep plate (14), which is itself located by a nut (13). The nut may be locked by a tab and a pin or other method. The bearings are clean and lubricated between covers. |
