The painting machine consists of a vehicle which is remotely controlled, and able to travel longitudinally along the surface to be painted. The machine is capable of adhering to the surface being painted. The brushes are mounted on the machine which is held by vacuum onto the surface and is capable of being steered by the wheel. Control is effected from an adjacent floating craft, connected to the machine by a control cable. There is a feed mechanism for the supply of paint to the brushes.
