Automatic machine for filling cellular trays - has feed pipe disposed over tray which is on moving table

The automatic machine consists of a feed pipe (2) disposed vertically over a cellular tray (9) placed on a table which moves in two horizontal directions underneath the feed pipe. Trays are supplied and removed automatically. The feed pipe consists of a tube down which objects roll under their own weight, the supply being controlled by two fingers (4, 5) operated by air jacks and a sensor (6). The objects are dropped vertically into the cells (8) of the tray (9), the tray being moved in the two horizontal directions by a pneumatic jack acting in conjunction with a toothed rack which is held in position by a pneumatically operated bolt. The tray is jacked forward one cell at a time thereby filling one row, it is then moved backwards and displaced by one column, when the process starts again.
