The ammunition casing is particularly for rifle grenades, having a tubular body in two parts locking together and forming a sealed joint at the same time. One of the parts is equipped with elastic distorting sealing joints, combining with the locking devices to form a bayonet coupling locked in the closed position. The joints may be mounted on a ring bearing at one end against the casing body, and at the other against the item of ammunition, and can be situated on opposite sides of a bracing piece.
