Prefabricated fireplace to fit existing flue - has sliding gate controlling air flow through base to sides and rear wall hollow rectangular sections

The fireplace has a hollow pedestal base. The side walls and rear wall being located on the base by vertical pegs. A hood conveys the hot gasses and is shaped to fit the flue. The flow of air is controlled by a sliding gate valve under the grille. The side and rear walls are made from hollow rectangular tube welded together. A draught of air is conveyed from the hearth through an opening into a chamber in the tubes. The upper and lower surfaces of the hearth pref. receive an insulation and expansion joint.
