<p>The printing surfaces of stamps are cleaned using a fluid consisting of a glycol (I) which is applied to the surfaces by menas of an adsorbant applicator pref. made of fibrous material or foam. (I) is pref. ethylene glycol and esp. includes glycerine. The fluid may also contain a wetting agent and/or a viscosity lowering agent. The fluid is partic. contained in an ampoule enclosed within a case, pref. of thermoplastic material, which is closed at one end. A wick of the absorbent material is attached at the open end. Complete removal of dried ink which has accumulated on the stamp, esp. around the print characters is achieved.</p> |
