Binding machine using plastics strip - has guide channel forming rectangular path with electronic detector controlling operation

The automatic binder uses plastics strip for binding, and has a frame fitted with a rectangular channel which carries the binding. One side of the rectangle is integral with the machine. This side has an electronic detector which registers the passing of the strip, and the end of the strip, so controlling the stopping of the feed and the positioning of the fixing staple. The detector also controls the final tensioning and the parting of the strip end. The strip is fed to the machine through a double pair of rollers with pressure rollers controlled by pneumatic cylinders (12, 15).
