<p>A sand blasting installation has a tank (1) with a conical base from which the sand is discharged into a line (4) with a branch behind connected to an air supply under pressure. The top is connected to a connecting tube (5) with a cap (6) above it. A pipe passing through the side of the tube (5) has an elbow (8) for a vertical portion carrying a sloping valve member (9) which fits against a seating (7) in the cap. This cap carries in turn another tank (10) with a sieve (11) across it, near the base. This tank also carries a connecting tube (12) with a sealing ring (13) around the top, forming a seating for another valve member (15). This also is supported by a pipe elbow (14) and both valve pipes are interconnected by valves and pilot valves with the pneumatic supply, controlling the feed of the sand.</p> |
