The electric egg boiler has a cover (2) which acts as a measuring beaker, and a discharge hole n17) in one side (12-16) of the cover (2), and at a certain distance from a tilting edge (18) running between the cover top (12) and one side (13-16). The slit (17) for discharge is positioned on one of the short sides (14) of the cover (2). Near the slit (17) on the outside of the cover (2) is a bead (19). Underneath the slit (17) on the cover (2) is a channel for collecting the steam condensate. The top of the cover (12) has markings for the quantities of water necessary.
