<p>The licence plate of the vehicle is divided into separate upper and lower parts, with the lower part securely fitted to the vehicle and the upper part removable. The number is written across both halves so that when the drive leaves the vehicle he can take with him the upper half, and thus easily identify the vehicle as a stolen one if a thief drives it away. The anti-theft protection can be applied to any type of licenced vehicle so that the police can stop vehicles with incomplete plates.</p> |
