1445308 N-nitroalkyl derivatives of p-phenylene diamine MONSANTO CO 22 Jan 1975 [23 Jan 1974] 2701/75 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of Formula I in which R is C 1-5 alkyl; R<SP>1</SP> is hydrogen, nitro or C 1-5 alkyl; and X is hydrogen, C 1-5 alkyl or C 1-5 alkoxy which may be prepared by reaction of the corresponding 4-aminodiphenylamine with a nitro or dinitroalkane and formaldehyde or with a 2-nitro or 2,2-dinitroalkanol. The compounds of Formula I have application as agents which inhibit polymerization of polymerizable unsaturated carboxylic ester monomers. |
