The towing equipment is for insulated flexible cable attached to cable carriages, each driven along a cable carriage track by an electric motor. The cable carriages supply electric current to a fast moving trolley. The electric motors are connected together to rotate in the same direction. The drives of the cable carriages (2) are provided with mechanical transmission gearings which are so stepped up relatively to each other that the cable carriages (2) are positioned an equal distance apart during each movement of of the trolley (5). The cable carriages support the supply cable (3) in loops between successive carriages, extending from a fixed support (4) to the moving trolley (5).
