<p>1501430 Lining tunnels &c PONT-AMOUSSON SA 29 April 1975 [27 May 1974] 17703/75 Heading E1F Tunnel lining rings are formed from segments which each comprise circumferential reinforcing bars 3 embedded in concrete 12 and secured at their ends to segment end plates 1, 2. The ends of the bars are retained by a filler material (8), Fig. 2 (not shown), such as an epoxy resin, within cup-shaped housings 6 on the inner surfaces of the end plates. The plates may be provided with an inwardlydirected peripheral wall (14a, 14b), Fig. 4 (not shown). The segments may either be pre-cast, or alternatively the framework of bars arid plates may be assembled in the tunnel and the concrete cast in situ.</p> |
