The ski binding has a front cheeck with a toe retainer, and a pivoted cheek support. A rear cheek has a safety release, with a heel retainer on a sliding section. The heel retainer is displaceable in a carriage in release directions at right angles to the longitudinal ski axis. The carriage has a catch, with a pin engaging in it against a spring. After safety release of this catch unit, a second spring moves the carriage and the heel retainer away from the shoe. The cheek support is pivoted on a ski-fastened shaft at right angles to the upper ski surface. The toe retainer may be pivoted relative to the support about the shaft, extending parallel to the upper ski surface, and at right angles to the longitudinal ski direction during down-mill.
|
