The mixer valve for hot and cold water has three circular valve discs (13-15) stacked inside a cylindrical valve body (10). The valve discs which are made from ceramic have a number of axial holes in order to provide a variable flow path for the water mixture. The lowest disc (13) has a fixed location in the valve body (10) and is used to connect the inlet and outlet pipes. The centre disc (14) can be rotated inside a limited range and in this way regulates the temp. of the water mixture. The top disc (15) which is linked to a hinged control lever (16) can be moved in a linear path in order to regulate the water flow volume through the valve.
