Circular knitter fabric extraction - using wheels or rollers with sleeve and shaft to give constant action and long life

The fabric take-up mechanism for a circular knitteR, particularly a double-cylinder knitter for stockings, has continuous drawing out units rotating with the needle cylinder(s). Wheels or rollers are used as the endless and continuous drawing-out unit, located at the point where the fabric structure is being formed. They are so located with the needle cylinders that they follow a concentric path. The wheels or rollers rotate at the end of a sleeve which ranges into the fabric development zone and which is keyed to the needle cylinders. A shaft is mounted in the sleeve and given a relative movement. Constant drawing-out action is obtd. on the knitted fabric, with a long life, which can be mounted to small circular knitters and which does not need a needle cylinder with internal ridges.
