<p>PURPOSE: To provide a multilayer structure which exhibits good impact and heat resistances and resistances to steam permeability and gas permeability and in which various layers, i.e., thin layers keep intimate, strong and tough bondings by bonding together the multilayer structure consisting of a polycarbonate layer, an olefin-vinyl alcohol copolymer layer and a polyolefin layer through relatively thin adhesive layers. CONSTITUTION: A polycarbonate layer and a polyolefin layer are outer layers and an olefin-vinyl alcohol copolymer layer is arranged between these layers and these layers are bonded with appropriate bonding layers. The high mol.wt. thermoplastic polycarbonate is well known. The polyolefin forming the second layer is well known and is generally on the market. High density polyethylenes, linear row density polyethylenes and low density polyethylene are included therein. Pref. polyolefin is polypropylene. The olefin-vinyl alcohol copolymer being the third layer is well known. Pref. olefin-vinyl alcohol copolymer is an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer with an ethylene content of 5-40 wt.% based on wt. of the copolymer.</p> |
