<p>1498279 Workbenches J-A HALLEN 10 March 1975 [25 March 1974] 9817/75 Heading A4H [Also in Division B4] A service unit, particularly for a doctors or dentists room, comprises a workbench 5 and at least one cupboard 6 arranged thereabove, both being mounted for rotation about a vertical axis on a pillar stand 1 which is generally U-shaped, the vertical axis passing through the ends of the shanks of the U. Horizontal cross-bars 3, 4 support the bench 5 and cupboards 6 respectively. The pillar and cross-bars may be of hollow tubular form and contain ducts for water and drainage (e.g. from a sink 15) and supply lines e.g. for air, oxygen, electricity, telephone or intercom. The upper limb 2c may be rotably clamped to the ceiling by a support 8 or may be pivotally connected to a wall bracket 24. In an alternative form of the unit, Fig.5, the cross bars 3, 4 are mounted on a vertically adjustable slide 21 on the pillar so that the height of the workbench and cupboards may be adjusted.</p> |
