PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the form of the base surface of an installing base opposing to the bottom surface of a rail for installing a special recess and projection form, so as to improve the sound insulation property. SOLUTION: This is a weather strip to seal the peripheral edge of a door side and the opening edge at a body side, and it has an installing base 2 to be inserted and fixed to a recess form installing rail 12 of either one side of the door side peripheral edge 10 or the body side opening edge 20; and a hollow seal 13 supported by the base 2; and a base surface 5 opposing to the bottom surface of the installing seal 12 of the base 2 is made in a recess and projection section form forming plural recesses and plural projections partitioning the recesses alternately, placing intervals in the width direction. A projection 7 at the center of base surface 5 is increased in the dimension in the projecting direction, so as to increase the contact pressure to the bottom surface of the rail 12. |
