<p>The core is first formed and then cut out longitudinally to form a central beam (2) and two lateral rods (3, 4) the beam being covered by a glass sheet (5). The ski is then assembled in a mould (6). The sole of the ski (8) has steel edges (9, 10) and is covered by a layer of glass fibre (11). The two rods are placed on either side f the central beam and the sides (12, 13) of the ski are formed in high resistance plastic. A layer of glass fibre (14) with metallic edges (15) is placed on top and then a layer (16) which forms the surface of the ski. The mould is put in a press and subjected to heat and pressure.</p> |
